STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE WITH DARK CHOCOLATE BALSAMIC WHIPPED CREAM

Ingredients:

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon D’Olivo Dark Chocolate Dark Balsamic Vinegar

6 sponge cake shells or 6 thick slices of pound cake

1/2 lb strawberries, thickly sliced

 

Directions:

Before making whipped cream, place mixer bowl in freezer (a metal bowl works best) for at least 30 minutes. Add heavy whipping cream to chilled mixing bowl, and whip until just before stiff peaks form. Add sugar and D’Olivo Dark Chocolate Balsamic, and whip until peaks form.

Arrange sponge cakes or pound cake slices on dessert plates. Top with the desired amount of strawberries and spoon or pipe whipped cream over the top.
